SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (S.A.) – a good legal vehicle for high value investments, large multinationals or corporations with many shareholders.
Sociedades Anónimas must have a minimum 60.000€ share capital, at least 25% of which must be paid in.
The legal framework of Sociedades Anónimas is more rigid than smaller companies, they must normally be audited, and capital contributions in cash must be approved by an independent expert. However, given that they are set up to enable many shareholders, the shares are easy to transfer.
